Bascom is a civil parish in the western part of Hopewell Township in Seneca County , Ohio , United States . Although the place is not incorporated as a community, it does have a post office .

Bascom is located at the intersection of Ohio State Route 18 and Ohio State Route 635 east of Fostoria ( geographic coordinates : 41 ° 8 ′ N , 83 ° 17 ′ W ). OH 18 runs as Tiffin Street from east to west, OH 635 runs in north-south direction. The place is on the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad . To the north of the railway line there are several clay pits, some of which are full of groundwater.
The place is north of East Branch Wolf Creek.
