The 2012 Women's Baseball World Cup was the fifth edition of this women's baseball competition and took place in Edmonton from August 10 to 19, 2012 . 29 (23 preliminary round, three semi-finals, game for 7th place and the medal games) of the 36 games took place in Telus Field , the remaining seven (five group games, one semi-final and game for 5th place) took place in John Fry Park . A total of eight teams took part in the tournament.

The opening ceremony took place on August 10, 2012 at 7:00 pm at Telus Field.

The team from Japan won the title and was able to win the title for the third time in a row.

The games of the Japanese team, and thus also the final, could be followed live on a separate channel on YouTube.
