Basil Vogt (born December 10, 1878 in Balzers , † August 7, 1939 in Steg ) was a Liechtenstein carpenter, farmer and member of the state parliament.

biography

Vogt, a carpenter and farmer by trade, was head of the Balzers community from 1927 to 1936 . In 1928 he was elected to the Liechtenstein Parliament . In 1930 he voluntarily resigned from the same because, like the other three members of the state parliament of the People's Party (VP), he was of the opinion that the elections in 1928 , since these were early elections, would only have continued the legislative period of 1926 and thus the state parliament elections in that year would have to take place and thus see their term of office as ended. In 1932 he was re-elected to the state parliament. In 1936 and 1939 he was re-elected, each for the Fatherland Union (VU) in which the People's Party had meanwhile been absorbed. Vogt belonged to the state parliament until his death on August 7, 1939. Heinrich Brunhart moved up for him in the state parliament.

Prince Franz I awarded him the Silver Merit Sign in 1937 for his services .
