The Basingstoke Bison are an ice hockey club from the city of Basingstoke in England, founded in 1988 as Basingstoke Beavers . The team plays in the British National Ice Hockey League . The games are played in the Planet Ice Silverdome Arena , which has a capacity of 1,800 seats.

Basingstoke Arena

After it was founded in 1988 as Basingstoke Bearvers, the club was renamed Basingstoke Bison in 1995, of which the German company Wella was the main sponsor for many years . From 1996 to 1998 the team played in the Ice Hockey Superleague . After that, the team belonged to the British National League until they were accepted into the Elite Ice Hockey League in 2003 .
