Basket Rimini Crabs is a basketball club from Rimini, Italy .

The association was founded in 1947 under the name " Polisportiva Libertas ". During the 1970s he rose under the name Basket Rimini in the second highest Italian division Serie A2 and played for the first time in its history at a professional level. In 1984 they were promoted to the top division Serie A1 , which they belonged to for eight seasons until 2001 after several relegations and promotions. The best placement was eighth in the 1985/86 season. In addition, the qualification for an international competition was achieved twice; in the 1998/99 and 1999/2000 seasons they played in the Korać Cup .

2001 they descended in the newly founded Legadue , which had replaced the A2 series, and added Crabs to its club name as an addition . After being in this league for ten years, the club's license to operate professionally was revoked in 2011. The first team started their game operations in the fourth highest division Divisione Nazionale B (DNB).

Some of the club's youth teams won the national championship in the 1980s and 1990s. The club's best-known players included Carlton Myers and Alex Righetti , who started their professional careers in Rimini.
