Ŭnjŏng-guyŏk is one of the 18 boroughs of Pyongyang , the capital of North Korea . The district is located northeast of the city center and borders the Ryongsŏng-guyŏk district to the south and west .

Ŭnjŏng was initially founded as a district belonging to the cities of P'yŏngsŏng and Pyongyang. In 1996 the district was established as a Pyongyang district.
