Man'gyŏngdae-guyŏk is one of the 18 boroughs of Pyongyang , the capital of North Korea .
It is located in the west of the city next to Chollima County . To the north of the district is the Hyŏngjesan-guy Stadtk district . In the east it borders with the Pot'ong-gang on the districts of Pot'onggang-guyŏk and P'yŏngch'ŏn-guyŏk . In the south, the Taedong-gang forms the border with the Rakrang-guyŏk . The district was established as a city district in September 1959. Within the district lies Ryongak-san Mountain and between the Chollima County border is Taebo-san.

There is a direct connection to Namp'o via the highway of the Heroic Youth . Kwangbok Street , completed in 1989, forms a central main thoroughfare through Man'gyŏngdae-guyŏk.
Buildings and facilities
Adjacent is the Pyongyang circus and the Mangyŏngdae student palace . There are five eye-catching apartment blocks with up to 43 floors and a total of 25,000 residential units on Kwangbok Street.
Pongsu Church was consecrated in September 1988 .
Internationally known is the Ch'ŏngny Hotn Hot'el First Class, which opened in 1989 and extends over 30 floors at the intersection between Chongchun and Kwangbok streets.
The Korea Computer Center is located in Dong Sonnae-dong .
In the district of Mangyŏngdae is the Mangyŏngdae Revolution Museum and the alleged birthplace of Kim Il-sung, who also spent his childhood here. The Mangyŏngdae amusement park has been located to the west in the same district since 1982 . In 1948, the Kim Il-sung Military University, a secondary school for the training of officers of the Korean People's Army , was established in Mangyŏngdae . Today it is considered the most important military university in North Korea.
The North Korean Committee of the International Taekwondo Association has its seat in the district of Chilgol-dong .
To Chongchun Street concentrate more modern sports facilities over the three districts Sonnae-dong-dong and Kumsong Chukjon-dong, which the student Palace Mangjongdae and Man'gyŏngdae Revolutionary School, a basic - and Middle School for children of military and State officials, are associated.

Administrative units
Man'gyŏngdae-guyŏk is divided into 19 administrative units, the dongs . The districts of Chilgol-dong and Kumsung-dong are in turn divided into three administrative units each and Tangsang-dong, Palgol-dong, Changhung-dong, Chukchon-dong and Kalrimkil-dong each into two administrative units.
