Ryŏkp'o-guyŏk is one of the 18 boroughs of Pyongyang , the capital of North Korea . It borders Sŏngyo-guyŏk and Sadong-guyŏk districts to the north, Chunghwa-gun district to the south, and Rakrang-guyŏk to the west .
The district was created when the P'yŏngan-namdo province was re -divided in October 1960.

National treasures
In Ryŏkp'o-guyŏk, Ryongsan-ri is home to five of North Korea's national treasures
- The Dongmyeongseongwang-grave (National Treasure # 36)
- The Chongrungsa Temple (National Treasure # 173)
- The Jinpari-grave Nr. 4 (National Treasure # 180)
- The Jinpari grave-No. 1 (National Treasure # 181)
- The seven-story pagoda of Chongrungsa Temple (National Treasure # 184)
Natural monuments
The Japanese Red Pine Forest in Ryongsan-ri is listed among the Natural Landmarks of North Korea with sort number 25.

Ryŏkp'o-guyŏk is divided into 14 administrative units, including seven dong and six ri. The district of Changjin is divided into two dong.
