The Alvinghof house is a listed building in Bösensell , a district of the municipality of Senden in the Coesfeld district , in North Rhine-Westphalia .

History and architecture

The building was first mentioned in a document in 1381. The manor house was built by Johann Conrad Schlaun around 1750 . It is a simple brick building with sandstone structure . It has a central projection and is covered with a hipped roof. The side buildings are narrow and windowless. The house is one of the first mansions of the Maison de plaisance type introduced by Schlaun in Westphalia . The house has been in the possession of the von und zur Mühlen family since 1749; it was built for the episcopal vice-chancellor Christian Friedrich von und zur Mühlen.
