The Batak Point (English; Bulgarian нос Батак nos Batak ) is a headland on the northwest coast of Smith Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located 7 km north-northeast of Cape James .
Bulgarian Scientists mapped 2008. The Bulgarian Antarctic Place-names Commission renamed it the same year after the city of Batak in southern Bulgaria .
