The Bateinoi called in Latin Batini ( Greek Βατεινοί ), were a Germanic tribe that is only passed down from Claudius Ptolemaeus in his Geographike in the eleventh chapter of the second book on Germania magna . The Batini were the Marcomanni adjacent. Their settlement area was probably in present-day Bohemia .
