Blessed Batho von Freising was a missionary in the area of the diocese of Freising in the 11th century .

The sphere of activity of the missionary work of Batho is today's Carinthia . According to a legend based on the New Testament, he fed the converted pagans in Innichen with bread. After working as a missionary, he was the chaplain of Bishop Ellenhard and canon in the Freising monastery of St. Andrä .

Bartho was buried in the church of the Andreasstift. In 1376 the bones were reburied in the Ulrich chapel and later in the choir of the Andreas church. There was also a side altar erected in his honor. In the course of secularization in Bavaria , the monastery was released and the church was torn down. When the inventory was auctioned, a farmer from Nandlstadt bought the altar and the shrine with the relics . The relic is now in the parish church of St. Martin in Nandlstadt. His feast day is July 30th.
