history

Until the 19th century

Nandlstadt was first mentioned in 815 AD as Nandelstadt . The place probably received market rights in 1386 by the Lower Bavarian dukes and had a market court with its own magistrate rights. Nandlstadt belonged to the Landshut Rent Office and the Moosburg Regional Court of the Electorate of Bavaria . In 1818 today's political community was established. Nandlstadt is one of 14 Hallertau hop seal communities . In 1862 the market was given the right to seal its hops. However, there has been evidence that 860 hops have been cultivated.

Incorporations

On January 1, 1972, the previously independent communities Baumgarten and Figlsdorf were incorporated, on July 1, 1972 Kleingründling from the Reichertshausen community was added. On May 1, 1978 parts of the dissolved communities Airischwand and Appersdorf followed .

Between 1988 and 2018 the market grew from 3,347 to 5,318 by 1,971 inhabitants or 58.9%.
