Altfalterbach is a church village in the northern district of Freising (Upper Bavaria).
geography
The place is in the middle of the Hallertau , about 20 kilometers northeast of the district town of Freising . 82 inhabitants live in the village (as of 2012). Altfalterbach has been part of the Nandlstadt market since January 1, 1972 .
history
Altfalterbach is mentioned in a document as early as 755 in the traditions of the Hochstift Freising .
The small Catholic branch church of St. John the Baptist is a Romanesque hall building with a strongly recessed apse and a late medieval gable tower, built between 1156 and 1172. It is a listed building (file no. D-1-78-144-26).
Altfalterbach was the seat of a chairman of the Moosburg regional court in the Duchy of Bavaria with the places (then spelling) Tölzkirchen , Gründl , Unterappersdorf, Baumgarten, Andorf, Hadersdorf, Bockschweig, Schatz, Watterstorf, Kollersdorf and Schweig. 1818 took place with the municipality edict establishing the rural community Baumgarten . In addition to the main town and Altfalterbach, it also included Andorf, Bockschwaig, Gründl, Hadersdorf, Kollersdorf, Kronwinkl, Oberschwaig, Reith, Schatz, Spitz, Thalsepp, Tölzkirchen and Zeilhof. With the municipal reform , the municipality of Baumgarten and with it Altfalterbach became a part of the Nandlstadt municipality on January 1, 1972 .
