Location of Airischwand in Bavaria

Airischwand is a church village in the northern district of Freising in Upper Bavaria . The place is in the middle of the Hallertau , about 22 kilometers northeast of the district town of Freising . 42 inhabitants live in the village (as of December 31, 2016). Since May 1, 1978 Airischwand has been part of the Nandlstadt market .

history

Airischwand was first mentioned in a document in 775 under the name Archinswenti .

Until the beginning of the 19th century, the place was the seat of a chairman in the Moosburg district court on the Isar. In addition to the main town, it also included the village of Hausmehring, the hamlets of Ried (Bauernried), Griendling (Großgründling), Ammersberg and Bergen (Faistenberg) as well as the desert areas of Rehloh, Gütersberg and Ziegl.

As part of the community education after the Second Gemeindeedikt Ziegl 1818 became the market Nandlstadt in whose truce it was, incorporated. For this purpose, the single-layer goods Goglhof, Haider, Kainrad, Stadlhof and Zulehen were incorporated into Airischwand, and in 1822 the hamlet Haslreuth from the Reichersdorf community was also incorporated .

With the municipal reform , the Airischwand municipality was dissolved on May 1, 1978. The districts of Airischwand, Bauernried, Faistenberg, Großgründlach, Hausmehring , Kainrad, Rehloh and Zulehen were reclassified to Nandlstadt, the districts of Ammersberg, Goglhof, Gütersberg, Haider, Haslreuth, Holzhaus and Stadlhof were incorporated into the Hörgertshausen community .

Culture and sights

The townscape is shaped by the late Gothic brick church of St. Silvester, built by Landshut architects towards the end of the 15th century . It is a listed building.

Regular events

  • On the Assumption Day , on August 15, there is an open-air service in the Huberhof.
  • Every year on December 31st, a horse and animal blessing takes place in the Gasthaus Kurzinger as part of the patronage .
