history

Until the church is planted

Fahrenzhausen was first mentioned in a document in 1020 and is referred to as Schrannenort in 1372, i.e. a place where court was held. Fahrenzhausen belonged to the Rentamt München and the Dachau Regional Court of the Electorate of Bavaria . In the course of the administrative reforms in Bavaria in 1818, the place became an independent political municipality.

Incorporations

In the course of the Bavarian municipal reform , Fahrenzhausen was enlarged on July 1, 1972 by Großnöbach (with Jarzt ). At the same time, the enlarged community moved from the Dachau district to the Freising district. On January 1, 1977, around 150 residents of the Haimhausen community and on January 1, 1978 around 50 residents of the former Günzenhausen community (near Eching ) were reclassified to Fahrenzhausen. Finally, on May 1, 1978, the former Hofmarksort Kammerberg was incorporated.

Population development

Between 1988 and 2018 the municipality grew from 3,166 to 5,041 inhabitants or by 59.2%.

Heinrich Stadlbauer was elected First Mayor from the Free Citizens' List in March 2014 with 53.4% ​​of the vote. In the 2020 local elections, he was confirmed in office with 67.7% of the valid votes.

Coat of arms declaration

The wave bar indicates the location of the municipality on the Amper. The center of the coat of arms is the scales as a court symbol, which indicates the importance of Fahrenzhausen as a court seat in the Middle Ages.

The crowned "Mohrenkopf" stands for the parts of the community that belonged to the Hochstift Freising , which is represented in the coat of arms. The ax can be found in the family coats of arms of some families who exercised manorial power and judicial rights in what is now the municipality.

Architectural monuments

The late Gothic parish church of St. Vitus from the 15th century was later redesigned in the Baroque style. The slender onion dome is characteristic and visible from afar .

In 2017, according to official statistics, there were 44 in agriculture and forestry, 530 in manufacturing and 431 in trade, transport and hospitality at the place of work. In other economic sectors there were 172 people. There were 2304 employees at the place of residence subject to social insurance contributions. There were four companies in the manufacturing sector and ten in the construction sector. In 2016 there were also 54 farms with a total of 2038 hectares of agricultural land, of which 1759 hectares were arable land and 247 hectares were permanent green space.

  • Carl von Paur (1804–1873), civil servant and politician, was born in the district of Unterbruck.
