Carl von Paur

Carl von Paur (born June 29, 1804 in Unterbruck , † December 6, 1873 in Weilheim ) was a Bavarian civil servant and politician.

Life

Von Paur was born as the son of the postman in Unterbruck, Karl Friedrich von Paur (1780-1854). The father, from the Paur family of brewers in Schloss Isareck , acquired Schloss Kammerberg including the 2nd class patrimonial court from Baron von Püll in 1814 and was entered in the nobility register of the Kingdom of Bavaria under "Ad P10" in 1818 . His sister was married to the Munich painter Johann Georg Hiltensperger .

Carl von Paur was initially the first class patrimonial judge and was taken over by the Bavarian state in 1838 as the second regional court assessor in Vilshofen , and in 1844 as the first regional court assessor in Trostberg . In 1845 he was appointed district judge in Kötzting and in 1862 district administrator. He was promoted to government councilor in 1865 and retired in 1869. In Bad Kötzing he donated the Ludwigsturm, which was built between 1849 and 1851 and is entered in the list of monuments , in memory of Emperor Ludwig the Bavarian .

In addition to his administrative work, von Paur was also politically active. From 1863 to 1869 he was a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Deputies .
