Bathycles (mythology)
Bathykles ( Greek Βαθυκλῆς ) is a figure in Greek mythology .
Bathycles was a hero before Troy and fought on the side of the Greeks . He was the son of Chalcon and, like this Myrmidon , belonged to the contingent led by Achilles in the Trojan War . In the fierce battle for the armor of the Lycian general Sarpedon , who has just fallen , in which Patroclus will also find death in Achilles' armor, Bathycles is killed by the hand of the Lycian king Glaukos with a lance in the chest.
