bauSpezi is a German DIY - franchise based in Rodenberg . The around 130 DIY stores (as of 2020) are operated by private retailers.

However, NBB Bau- und Heimwerkermärkte GmbH , which cooperates with the Eurobaustoff group, takes on the task of advertising and purchasing . bauSpezi achieved gross sales of 228 million euros in 2015, making it the largest of the seven sales lines of the NBB Group. Further sales lines of the NBB Group are AngelSpezi, gartenSpezi, Kiebitzmarkt, Egesa garden center and the marketing association for German wood retailers MDH (holzSpezi). In Austria, NBB cooperates with the DFH Group (service and sales systems for trade GmbH, a joint venture between NBB and Quester, with the sales divisions Bauprofi and CityBaumarkt).

The bauSpezi stores have areas of up to 6,000 square meters and position themselves as local suppliers for small and medium-sized towns.

history

The concept was developed in 1982 and the first partner was won in 1983. At first, building material dealers who wanted to set up a building material retailer joined the concept.
