The Farmer's Friend Print Shop is a historic building in Marlborough Township , Montgomery County , Pennsylvania .
The architect of the brick building erected in 1838 is unknown. The design of the Bauern Freund Print Shop features stylistic elements from Georgian architecture , Federal style and Victorian architecture . The house was used by Enno Benner from 1845 to 1858 as a printing and editorial office for the German-language newspaper Der Bauern Freund, which is close to the democrats . Benner also published religious and patriotic texts and educational books from here.
The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 26, 1982 as a Historic Monument .
