Peasant trick

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The farmer trick ( English wrap around is) a term from the sport of ice hockey to achieve that describes a specific type to score. In Switzerland Buebetrickli is used for this , a combination of Bub and the basic word "Trick" diminished with the Swiss-German suffix -li .

The player in charge of the puck runs from one side behind the opponent's goal at high speed and tries to place the puck on the other side of the goal with a quick twisting motion. This tactic can be very effective as the goalkeeper has to move very quickly from one side to the other in order to protect that side of the goal from the attacker in time.

In floorball , too , this way of scoring a goal is known as a pawn trick.
