Vincent Grass (born January 9, 1949 in Brussels , Belgium ) is a Belgian film and theater actor .

biography

Vincent Grass, born and raised in Brussels, came into contact with the theater at an early age as the son of a conductor and a classical singer. That is why Grass graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Brussels as a teenager, where he also had his first experiences as an actor on stage. At that time he was also the band leader of a local music group called Crash , in whose function Grass also learned English .

After graduating, Grass moved to England , where he studied acting at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art . Grass first and foremost gained fame in England and France , where he was offered his first film appearances from the 1970s. One of his best-known early works is the thriller Enigma from 1982. The murder of the priests from 1988 is also one of Grass' most famous film of the 1980s. In addition, Grass' repertoire includes major European productions, including Napoleon in 2002 . Parallel to his work in film and television, Grass has made a name for himself as a stage actor in France, who went on tour in France with Franz Kafka's Das Schloß , among others .

Vincent Grass has also been the French voice actor for Hollywood films since the late 1990s. He gave his voice to Hugo Weaving in The Matrix and John Rhys-Davies in The Lord of the Rings film trilogy.
