Door roll
The door roll is an element of ancient Egyptian tomb architecture that was mainly used in the Old Kingdom . It represents a simulated stone rolled and fastened by two loops Matt curtain. They can be mounted directly on the grave entrance, but also part of a located mostly in the grave inside false door be. In the pyramid district of Djoser from the 3rd dynasty, the individual sections of the reed mat curtain are modeled in detail with blue-green faience tiles. Later copies usually do not have such a structure and are instead smooth.
