The Bauherren-Schutzbund e. V. (BSB) is a non-profit, registered association that offers nationwide independent advice for private builders and investors . He is a member of the Federation of German Consumer Organizations. V. The seat is in Berlin , where the office is also located. The association was founded in 1995 as the successor to the Association of Private Builders.
tasks
The association advises builders and investors who want to buy, renovate or refurbish their own home or apartment . For this, the BSB has called Building Consultants - independently operating engineers or architects who advise the owners or purchasers paid. The BSB has also hired lawyers to clarify legal issues .
The association is one of the 78 selected associations in Germany that are allowed to carry out a model declaratory action .
Lobbying and memberships
The association is recognized by the German Bundestag as the official representative of citizens' interests. He is still on the advisory board of the German Building Court Association. V. as well as represented in the DIN consumer council via vzbv . In addition to membership in the Bundesverband e. V. is the BSB in the German Association for Housing, Urban Development and Regional Planning e. V., at the Institute for Building Research e. V., in the Federal Working Group Old Building Renewal e.
