The company was founded in 1930 in Nuremberg as a repair shop for electric motors. In 1973 Günter Baumüller (1940–2017) took over his parents' company and expanded it into an international industrial company for drive and automation systems.

Corporate governance

Since 2009 the Baumüller Group has been headed by Dipl.-Ing. Andreas Baumüller, a grandson of the company founder. Further members of the management are Dipl.-Betriebswirt (FH) Reinhold Rückel and Dr.-Ing. Michael Wengler.

Ownership structure and shareholders

The Baumüller Group is 100% owned by the siblings Karin Baumüller-Söder and their brother Andreas Baumüller.

Products

Baumüller has its founding and headquarters in Nuremberg and, as a specialist company, offers automation solutions for industry. At six production sites in Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovenia and China as well as in over 40 branches worldwide, over 1,900 employees develop and produce system solutions for mechanical engineering and e-mobility .
