Karin Baumüller-Söder , née Baumüller (* 1973 in Nuremberg ), is the wife of the Bavarian Prime Minister Markus Söder and co-owner of the Baumüller Group .

Origin, profession and private life

Karin Baumüller-Söder is the daughter of the Nuremberg entrepreneur Günter Baumüller (1940–2017). Together with her brother Andreas Baumüller, CEO of the Baumüller Group, the business graduate Baumüller-Söder is the third generation to own the family company. There she also works part-time. She has been married to Markus Söder since 1999 and has a daughter (* 2000) and two sons (* 2004, * 2007) with him. About her husband's political career, Baumüller-Söder stated that she had always kept her husband's back free. Her husband can and must live for politics, otherwise he wouldn't be where he is today.
