owner

The first known fiefdom holder was Wilhelm von Aller in 1403. The von Vischenich family followed at the end of the 15th or beginning of the 16th century. A Margarethe von Vischenich married Winand von Müllenbach in 1566, to whom the fiefdom was transferred. In 1587, Winand von Müllenbach and Vogt Johannes Brewer zu Geilenkirchen exchanged parts of their goods. This made Johannes Brewer the new owner of the building yard. he used a so-called half - man for the management .

In the following 120 years the Brewer, Byßmann, Dorpmann, Poll and Bausch families are named as owners of the farm.

In 1748 a Johann Bausch owned the farm. In his youth he made several trips, including to London and The Hague . His wife was called Gertrud Hoesch. The couple used the high dowry to generously expand and modernize the farm. In 1786 Johann Bernhard married for the second time, namely his niece Susanne Maria Bausch from Beek. This second marriage also remained childless. After his death the widow married a relative, Johann Albert Bausch. Their son Johann Albert Bausch inherited the estate. He was married to Johanna Catharina Schergens. He owned the building yard from 1825 to 1876.

After them, the farm belonged to the Bausch community of heirs, followed by the Klammer and Wintzen families.

Since 1971 the farm has been owned by the farmer Hans Schröder and his wife Adele geb. Wintzen. Her grandmother was Henriette Bausch. This means that the Bauschhof has been in the family for almost 400 years.

architecture

The estate shows itself as a typical Franconian courtyard, that is, the buildings are in a square around an inner courtyard. The gate entrance is made of quarry stone and bears the initials JBB of Johann Bernhard Bausch in the arch. To the right and left of the driveway are the farm buildings from the 18th century, which flank the half-timbered house . On the front door you can see the coat of arms of the Bausch family, three ears of corn .
