The mausoleum is located southeast of the historical center of Buxoro about two kilometers from the Labi Hovuz building complex on the way to Kogon, right next to the Sayfiddin Boharziy mausoleum .

The mausoleum is the tomb of the Mongols - Khan Bayan Kuli , the 1348-1358 one of the last ruler of the Chagatai Khanate was. The building is a cubic structure with a floor area of ​​around 12 m × 8 m. Access is via the narrow eastern side, which is preceded by a Pishtak with Iwan . The room entered first, a prayer room (Siarat-chane) has an approximately square floor plan of 6 m × 6 m and is vaulted by a dome . Behind it is the smaller burial room (Gur-chane) with the tomb of Khan Bayan Kuli. The original ceramic decoration is only partially preserved. The predominant colors are dark blue, light blue and white. The ornaments include geometric patterns, Kufi inscriptions and plant motifs. Fragments of the facade decoration are in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and in the Museum for Art and Industry Hamburg .
