The Bayard Point is a headland on the north coast of South Georgia . It is located between the entrances to Ocean Harbor in the north and Penguin Bay in the south.
It is named after the whaling ship Bayard owned by the Norwegian A / S Ocean Whaling Company, which was one of the first ships to call at the whaling station in Ocean Harbor and whose wreck lies in this bay.
