The Lanzinger Trio is a music group from northern Swabia that can be assigned to the New Folk Music or Tradimix with its line-up of dulcimer , zither and guitar . The repertoire of original compositions extends from influences from classical music to traditional folk music to rock , pop and jazz .

The Lanzinger Trio was brought into being by the zither player Jörg Lanzinger after he was asked by Hans Doleschal to take part as a musician at the Nuremberg Advent Singing in the Meistersingerhalle . In preparation for this performance, the first public concert was on June 25, 2010 in Kissing . Lanzinger was able to win his fellow student from the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich Reinhard Schelzig on the guitar as a colleague, as well as the dulcimer player Komalé Akakpo who is also studying at the RSK . The performances quickly increased and so in 2012 the first album "Freilig" was recorded live in the home studio. This CD was presented by the BR2, whereupon it immediately entered the Amazon Top10 download charts. In 2013 the second album "… plays room music" followed. The following year, Traudi Siferlinger invited them for the first time to take part in the BR “ Wirtshausmusikanten ”. The third studio album “Hoi!” Was also released in 2014. In 2015 the trio was a guest in the BR Abendschau. After differences within the band, Lanzinger and Akakpo decided to continue with the new guitarist Hannes Mühlfriedel from 2016 . In 2017 they were guests on the BR show “Have the honor” and, together with the comedian Hennes Bender, interpreted Queen songs in a very unusual way. In 2018 the three musicians were asked by director Valentin Stroh to contribute the music for the production of the robber Hotzenplotz at the Ulm Theater . In 2019 the trio was again a guest at the BR “Wirtshausmusikanten”. Over the years, the trio has played a number of live concerts in Germany and Austria , mainly on cabaret stages.

style

From the beginning it was clear to make music in the classical room music line-up of the " Schönauer Musikanten " with dulcimer , zither and guitar . Since the personal musical tastes of the three musicians are located more in rock or metal music, the aim was to create a mix of folk music, jazz, rock and pop from the start. Their programs run under the titles "Welt Raum Volks Musik", "Progressive Stubenmusik" or "Stubenmusik-Jazz-Pop-Boyband"
