The Bavarian Lawyers' Court (BayAGH) is the highest regional court of the Bavarian legal jurisdiction .

The Higher Lawyers' Court consists of five senates , each made up of five members of the Bavarian legal profession , including the chairman. Two other legal members and two professional judges are involved as assessors. At the head of the Bavarian Attorney's Court is the President, who is appointed from among the legal members.

The judges are appointed by the state justice administration on the proposal of the three Bavarian bar associations . The ratio should correspond to the number of members of the bar associations in the three Bavarian higher regional court districts.

BayAGH has its seat at the Munich Higher Regional Court .

tasks

The court is the nationwide court of appeal for proceedings in the event of violations of professional law. He also decides in the first instance on administrative law matters. In administrative matters, the court decides on the basis of a judgment based on an oral hearing. The provisions of the Administrative Court Code apply to the procedure . In disciplinary matters, the Higher Lawyers' Court usually decides by judgment. The code of criminal procedure applies to the procedure .

The proceedings are restricted to the public for members of the chamber district to which the person concerned belongs.
