Karl-Heinrich Wirschinger

Karl-Heinrich Wirschinger (born October 15, 1911 in Munich ; † October 24, 2003 ) was a German lawyer.

Career

Wirschinger attended elementary schools in Amberg, Speyer and Munich. In 1930 he passed his Abitur at the humanistic Maximiliansgymnasium in Munich and then studied law in Munich, Vienna and Kiel. In 1934 he passed the state exams. He was wounded during World War II. After the end of the war he settled in Munich as a lawyer and specialized in social law .

In 1960 he became the state chairman of the Association of Freier Professions in Bavaria and also a member of the board of the Federal Association of Independent Professions . As a representative of the liberal professions, he was a member of the Bavarian Senate from May 1, 1959 to December 31, 1977 . From 1964 he was chairman of the Institute for Liberal Professions at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg , most recently its honorary chairman.

From 1961 to 1970 he was a member of the Broadcasting Council of the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation and from 1971 a member of the Television Council of the Second German Television . From November 1971 he was President of the Bavarian Attorney's Court .

He was awarded the Bavarian Order of Merit (1964), the Great Federal Cross of Merit and the Great Silver Medal of the Republic of Austria .
