BayernMoodle was a web-based learning platform for high schools in Bavaria that existed from 2006 to 2014 . The name initially described the ministerial commissioner's project for the grammar schools in Bavaria, but it should be available as an idea for all types of schools.

Bayernmoodle quickly developed into the second largest learning platform in Germany. The largest at that time was the online teacher platform (lo-net.de / lo-net2.de), which was operated by the " Schools on the Net " association. Bayernmoodle was based on the open source software Moodle , which had been adapted to the Bavarian data protection requirements. The learning platform consisted of eight regional instances and a central instance in order to be able to cope with the rush technically. It was last used by around 150,000 teachers and students (July 2014). The division followed the organizational division of the ministerial representatives for the grammar schools in Bavaria.
