The Bayern is a passenger ship operated by Bayerische Seenschifffahrt GmbH on Lake Starnberg , which operates scheduled services there in summer.

The new building was carried out by the Deggendorf shipyard and delivered to Starnberg in 1939 . The commissioning of the motor ship was delayed until 1948 because the expansion was not carried out due to the war and the ship was half-finished in the port of Starnberg.

The predecessor ship, the Bavaria , was broken up in 1940.

The Bayern has a total length of 48 meters and a width of 10.4 meters. It is approved for the transport of 700 people and has 130 indoor seats in two salons with 65 seats each on the main deck and on the upper deck.
