From here on, the road also includes three lanes in each direction, with the third lane partially serving as turning and merging lanes, and some of these are also available.

From the junction with South Rome Street, the street has separate lanes, the median is designed as a green area. From the intersection with South Howard Avenue, there is no lane in each direction. At the junction with West Hawthorne Road the continuous waterfront ends and a little further south, the section with the separate carriageways and four-lane traffic routing ends at West Gandy Boulevard. The immediate vicinity of the shore leaves the road at the junction of Interbay Boulevard, from where it continues south towards Mac Dill Air Force Base , mainly through residential developments . The gateway to the Air Force Base is south of the intersection with Bayshore Trails Drive. The road finally ends in the southeastern area of the military base.

Status

In light of the Republican National Convention planned for the end of August 2012, the state of the road was rated as unsatisfactory by the city council. The pavement showed signs of damage, and city officials feared that Bayshore Boulevard would throw a bad light on the city if the city saw increased media coverage in connection with coverage of the Republican Congress.

The city has so funds amounting to 1.5 million US dollars provided to improve the balustrade, add the landscape system of the central strip and the wheel tracks, but the road surface was bumpy and in poor condition. The beginning of the project implementation led to traffic delays. The bike paths are intended to make it easier for pedestrians and joggers to use the promenade, as they no longer have to share the sidewalk with cyclists. The plans for the project, which began in March 2011, also include the reduction of six to four lanes in the particularly busy section between Davis Boulevard and South Howard Avenue.
