Beagle is an impact crater on the planet Mars . Its diameter is about 35 m.
location
The crater is located on the Meridiani Planum plateau , near the prime meridian and the equator of Mars. It lies on the border of a ring of ejecta from Victoria Crater .
exploration
Beagle was found by the Mars rover Opportunity , which was currently exploring Meridiani Planum, on recordings from June 20, 2006, Sol 855, at a distance of 310 m and subsequently examined in more detail by the rover.
