Beat Reiser

Beat Reiser OSB (born February 11, 1880 in Donzdorf ; † September 8, 1940 ) was a German philosopher.

Life

The son of Karl Reiser and Viktoria Bundschuh made his profession on September 4, 1898, was ordained a priest on October 19 and celebrated the primacy on October 26, 1902. He studied at the Pontificio Ateneo Sant'Anselmo 1902–1904 (Doctor of Philosophy June 29, 1904). He taught philosophy and rhetoric at the collegiate school from 1904 to 1919. He was spiritual and catechist at the Stella Maris boarding school in Rorschach from 1919 to 1920. From 1920 he was professor of philosophy and choral magister in Sant Anselmo in Rome. He was the editor of the choir guard from 1920 to the end of 1930.
