Beat Tschümperlin

Beat Tschümperlin (born June 29, 1954 in Hergiswil ; † November 4, 2004 ) was a Swiss politician ( CVP ).

Life

Tschümperlin studied law at the University of Freiburg and passed the state examination as a lawyer and notary in 1980 . From 1982 to 1994 he was a member of the Hergiswil local council , the last eight years as mayor. From 1994 to 2002 Tschümperlin was a member of the district administrator . At the same time he headed the CVP cantonal party in Nidwalden . Since 2002 he has been a member of the Nidwalden government . Since July 1, 2002, he has been the head of the building department there.

For health reasons Tschümperlin resigned from the government council at the end of September 2004 at his own request. He died on November 4, 2004 at the age of 50 from complications from cancer . He left a wife and two sons.
