Beatcollective is an Upper Austrian band whose trademark is the three-part front trio and who call their style of music "Vocal Fashion Rock".

Band history

The seven musicians from Upper Austria got to know each other through their joint music studies at several music universities in Austria. In 2008 keyboardist Roman Steinkogler produced her poppy debut album "To Be Or Not To Be" with 10 songs of her own and an acoustic cover version of "True Colors" as a bonus track (xtension productions, Bad Mitterndorf). While To Be or Not to Be did not yet attract much attention, they had a hit in the Austrian charts with the single Three Wishes released in autumn 2009. At the end of 2011, “Projekt pop!”, An initiative of the AKM, published this song by Beatcollective on the annual pop! Sampler for Austrian newcomers and presented it at the Midem / Cannes music trade fair .

In 2011 the band toured Austrian clubs, won the “Magic Life Rock The Island Talent Contest” and subsequently played on the Radio Wien & Hitradio Ö3 stage at the Vienna Danube Island Festival . In the same year Beatcollective was a pre-headliner at HafenOpenAir Wien, a festival for Austrian pop music. Since the stage comeback in 2011, Beatcollective has also been working closely with the Austrian fashion label "Thomas Lackner Design", which is responsible for the band's styling and artwork. Bassist Otto-Andreas Bruckner has been with Beatcollective since the beginning of 2012, as his predecessor, Michael Wittner, left the band due to his intensive involvement with Parov Stelar & Band. With the new line-up, the seven Upper Austrians appeared in Croatia at the Rock am Meer Festival (Malinska / Krk), on the main stage of the Graz City Festival or as the opening act for Rainhard Fendrich . In addition, the vocal trio is on tour throughout Austria as a show act for the “Friends on the road” campaign.
