Beate Dräbing

Beate Dräbing (* approx. 1978; a source gives June 12, 1967 and the location Berlin ) is a multiple world champion in bodybuilding , master in weightlifting and powerlifting and also participates in strongwomen competitions. In the course of her sports career, she took part in competitions in the disciplines of gymnastics, swimming and athletics and practiced the sports of water skiing, flat water kayaking and dancing. She has been Austrian since 1995.

Childhood and youth

She started ice skating at the age of three and a half. At the age of four and a half she had a serious accident in the form of third-degree burns at the level of the neck and shoulder area. The recovery process lasted half a year, during which she held her head crooked due to pain. A tendon shortening in the neck area was the result. On the advice of her doctor, she became a member of the gymnastics club, which meant her first contact with the sport.

She came to Carinthia when she was twelve . Here she started with athletics and specialized in heptathlon . In 1995, at the age of 17, she qualified for the European Junior Championships in Cottbus and achieved eighth place. At that time she received Austrian citizenship. Several national and international competitions followed.

In 1993 there were two more European and two world championships in three different sports. In 1994 she became Austrian state champion in bodybuilding for the second time and also European champion. In 1995 the couple's world championship title followed and third place in the individual competition.

• 1998 professional debut, 15th place.
• At the beginning of August 1999 she ended her career
