Beatrice Dernbach

Beatrice Dernbach (* 1964 ) is a German-speaking journalist and communication scientist .

Career

From 1994 to 1999, after completing her traineeship at Nürnberger Nachrichten, she was a research assistant at the chair for communication studies / journalism at Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg . From October 1999 to February 2014 she was Professor of Theory and Practice of Journalism at the University of Bremen . Since March 2014 she has been professor for practical journalism at the Technical University of Nuremberg Georg Simon Ohm .

Teaching

Her main focus in teaching at the TH Nürnberg is international specialist journalism, academic work and communication and media studies.

Book author and editor

Beatrice Dernbach is the editor and author of numerous specialist books, including "Didaktik der Journalistik" (SpringerVS, Wiesbaden 2012, together with Wiebke Loosen), "The Diversity of Specialized Journalism" (Verlag für Sozialwissenschaften VS, Wiesbaden 2010) and "Complexity in Journalism" ( SpringerVS, Wiesbaden 2018, together with Alexander Godulla and Annika Sehl).
