The Beaver Glacier is a 15 miles long glacier in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the Queen Alexandra Range of the Transantarctic Mountains , it flows north-west of Mount Fox to Ross Ice Shelf , which he at the Shackleton Coast located McCann Point reached.
Participants of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition (1959-1960) named him after the DHC-2 Beaver with the name City of Auckland , which crashed on January 15, 1960 in the area of the glacier.
