The McCann Point is a headland in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It marks the east side of the mouth of the Beaver Glacier on the Shackleton Coast into the Ross Ice Shelf .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 1966 after Kenneth Allan McCann (1913–1999), captain of the USNS Private Joseph F. Merrell during Operation Deep Freeze in 1965.
