The Bebensundbrücke (Seescharwaldbrücke) on the Großer Eutiner See (via the connection to the Fissau Bay) in Eutin

The Bebensundbrücke or Seescharwaldbrücke connects the Seepark Eutin near Eutin with the Seeschaarwald and divides the Fissau Bay from the Great Eutin Lake .

The Bebensund Bridge was designed by Heinrich Lüth , the last Eutin court gardener , and was built in 1934 as part of the National Socialists' voluntary labor service . It replaced a cable ferry that led to the bathing establishment built in 1914.

In 2003 the bridge was renovated and got, among other things, a new railing and safety pillars (which were built in the event of a collision with the excursion steamer “Freischütz”).

Jumping from the bridge is prohibited as there are still old bridge piers in the bottom. Nevertheless, the bridge serves many young people as a place for dangerous jokes in summer.
