Becquerel Prize

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Becquerel Prize honors extraordinary scientific, technical or organizational achievements in the field of photovoltaics . This prize was founded in 1989 by the European Commission on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the discovery of the photovoltaic effect by Alexandre Edmond Becquerel . The award is given to an individual for their performance and commitment over a long period of time in this field. A prize winner is preferably a resident of a country in the European Union . However, candidates from other countries will also be considered. The award committee selects one of the proposed persons to carry out the award at the annual European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference .
