Befimmo-Sicafi ( Société d'Investissement à capital fixe en immobilier SICAFI ) is a Belgian real estate investment trust based in Brussels .
history
The predecessor organization Woluwé Garden D SA was founded on August 30, 1995 to acquire a building in Woluwe-Saint-Étienne (Dutch: Sint-Stevens-Woluwe) near Brussels. In the same year parts of the real estate portfolio were taken over by Bernheim-Comofi and Woluwé Garden was renamed Befimmo. In the following years numerous other properties and entire real estate companies (including Prifast, Wetinvest, Bastionen Léopold NV, Cibix, Ringcenter) were acquired.
From March 2009 to March 2016, Befimmo-Sicafi was listed on the Belgian blue-chip index BEL20 .
Portfolio
As of September 30, 2008, Befimmo owned properties with an area of 851,647 m² and a value of 1.89 billion euros.
The company focuses on office buildings in central locations, which are mainly rented to public institutions.
With the exception of one property in Luxembourg, Befimmo currently only has properties in Belgium in its portfolio (80% of them in Brussels). Investments in Paris were also planned for the future.

The Befimmo-Sicafi share is listed on Euronext in Brussels and, since September 23, 2008, also in Paris.
With a share of just under 19%, the Belgian-Dutch financial services provider Fortis is the largest single shareholder, the rest of the shares are in free float .
