The hairy tassel amoeba ( Trichamoeba pilosa ) is a species of Amoebozoa from the genus Trichamoeba . It occurs in swamps between floating plants.

features

Trichamoeba pilosa is club-shaped or bone-shaped, 180 micrometers long and approximately 50 micrometers wide. The rear end is bulbous and thickened and has many blunt plasma protuberances. The species moves through flat ectoplasmic lobes that are pushed forward quickly in front and on the sides. In ectoplasm top and bright plasma thorns are present.
