Bycatch
By-catch means:
- in biology as bycatch (fishery) the unwanted part of the fish catch
- in legal history, a law that is separated from a glory (jurisdiction, court district: "his own herlicheit and beyfangh"), so z. B. a limited area, yard, mill or the like. A peasantry could develop from this. The name stands for an old judicial district, the patrimonial court tied to a landowner , as an alternative to the Gogerichten, see history of Bockum-Hövel .
