Bela is the district capital of Lasbela in the Balochistan Province ( Pakistan ).
The city is about 160 kilometers north-northwest of Karachi . Bela has a long history and is possibly a start-up from Alexander the Great . It was the capital of the state of Las Bela , which existed in this area from the 18th century to 1955. Bela had 16,998 inhabitants at the 1998 census and an estimated 26,000 inhabitants in 2013.
