Belinda De Camborne Lucy

Belinda Claire De Camborne Lucy (born October 15, 1976 in Sheffield , South Yorkshire ) is a British politician . From the 2019 European elections to January 31, 2020, she was a member of the European Parliament for the Brexit Party .

Life

Her great grandfather was Edward Selby Little, a missionary in China who was a co-founder of the Guling resort in Jiangxi. According to her own statements, she speaks Mandarin .

Political career

De Lucy voted for Brexit in 2016 . She also supports the Brexit campaigns Leave Means Leave and Ladies for Leave . In the 2019 European elections, she ran for the Brexit party for the constituency of South East England . She was in fourth place on the list of her party and was elected as one of four MPs in her constituency. In the European Parliament she was a member of the Committee on Women's Rights and Equality. She was also part of the delegation for parliamentary cooperation with Russia.

Private

She is married to Raymond McKeeve and has four children.
